From the Archive of Industrial Safety

Many of these posters date from the mid-20th century, when RoSPA worked alongside the Ministry of Labour to make industrial safety a national priority during and after WW2. The designs were created to be seen on factory walls, reminding workers of everyday risks in plain, direct language.
